Terms of Service
Last updated: May 23, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of SlipCase. By downloading or using SlipCase, you agree to these terms.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.
1. The Service
SlipCase is a document wallet for iPhone. It helps you scan, import, organize, search, lock, watermark, and export personal document copies such as IDs, certificates, receipts, contracts, and other everyday paperwork.
SlipCase is local-first. Documents are stored on your device and may sync through your Apple iCloud private database when available.
2. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use SlipCase on Apple devices that you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple's App Store terms.
3. Subscriptions and Free Limits
- Free version: You may use core features with limits of up to 10 documents and 20 pages. Limits are based on saved document and page counts, not the number of scan or import attempts.
- SlipCase Pro: An auto-renewable subscription unlocks unlimited documents, unlimited pages, and Pro features such as custom watermark presets.
- Plans: Monthly and yearly subscription options may be available. Prices are shown in the app using Apple's StoreKit pricing for your storefront.
- Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Management and cancellation: You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings under your Apple ID subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect after the current paid period ends.
- Restore purchases: If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, use Restore Purchases in SlipCase to refresh StoreKit entitlements.
- Trials and promotions: If a free trial or promotional offer is available, unused trial time may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, subject to Apple's rules.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of documents and content that you scan, import, create, organize, or export with SlipCase. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the app and your documents complies with applicable laws and does not infringe others' rights.
5. Privacy
Your use of SlipCase is also governed by our Privacy Policy. In short, SlipCase does not operate a developer server for your documents, and the developer cannot access your device or private iCloud document data.
6. Acceptable Use
- Do not use SlipCase to store, create, or distribute unlawful content.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the app except where allowed by law.
- Do not misuse exported documents, watermarks, or password-protected PDFs to misrepresent legal status, identity, or authorization.
7. Important Disclaimers
- SlipCase is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
- SlipCase is a document management tool. It is not a legal, identity verification, authentication, notarization, or official document certification service.
- Watermarks and password-protected PDFs help label and protect copies, but they cannot guarantee prevention of misuse.
- You are responsible for keeping backups of important documents and for verifying exported files before submitting them.
- We do not guarantee that SlipCase will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every document source.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, documents, profits, or business opportunities arising from your use of or inability to use SlipCase.
9. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update SlipCase and these terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a new update date. Continued use of SlipCase after changes means you accept the updated terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using SlipCase at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access to the app's services if you violate these terms, subject to applicable law and Apple's platform rules.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
